Today I want to share about the random and unexpected beauty that I find in the world. Sometimes I am too wrapped up in myself or my thoughts to notice, but today I am sharing some of the beautiful, unexpected moments of the past week.
Lightning: I live in the south and when it’s sooo hot, the thunder may roll and the lightening may light up the sky and no rain falls. What you get though is a spectacular light show. When I was little, I was told that thunder was the angels bowling. In the midst of just the lightning the other night, I thought “The angels must be having a disco party. How fun.”
Butterflies: I love them. I will stop and watch them in wonder always. Such beautiful and mysterious creatures. I was picking flowers in my garden and saw a lovely monarch sampling the nectar in the flowers. I stood very still with flowers in my hand and he landed on the flowers I was holding. Marvelous!
A text: Do you have the friend that is always sending encouraging messages and texts? I do. Almost every day I receive a picture or an encouraging message from her. Yesterday, it was spot on for the spot I am in right now. A blessing for sure.
God rays: I don’t know if this is a real term or not. This is what I call the perfect rays of sunshine, either in the sky or through the trees. I saw some this morning on my walk, right as I finished a rosary. Coincidence? I think not.
The world is full of wonder and beauty. We are often too busy to see it. Today or this week when you are driving, walking, going about life, or even sitting on the porch, take a moment to notice what is around you. You may be surprised at what you see. There is nothing to lose and only a beautiful moment to gain.
