Hello! I’m Sarah and I decided to write a blog because, well, God told me to. I was sitting in church, listening to the sermon when I clearly heard a voice telling me to start this journey and share my thoughts with the world.
It’s been an interesting journey up until now, I’ve traveled to interesting places, had a few jobs, I’ve walked through some hard times (who hasn’t?) lost friends, family members, and students. I’ve had my faith, trust, and reputation maybe not shattered but at least compromised by people who I thought were my friends and had my back. When you are at a very low point, you find out who your friends are. (yep, that’s a country song but true nonetheless) Wrap all that up in big ole twisty bow and I arrive to exactly this spot.
I’ve never really questioned the existence of God. He just is. He shows up, sometimes when I don’t even ask. It’s taking the time to stop and acknowledge what is happening- not from my power, all from His. You can call me an optimist, I am. You can call me a dreamer, I’m that too. I see the good in everything and everyone and that can be my downfall. The good part is that I can pick myself up, hopefully learn the lesson, and keep going.
I love people, I was called to be a teacher and was in a classroom with high school kids for literally half my life. I am a kid “magnet”, babies and small children love me, probably because I love to bake, craft, and tell silly jokes. I find joy in inspirational quotes and the quietness of nature; in the silence I find peace.
May these stories, verses, and thoughts that I share bring you hope, encouragement, inspiration and joy.
